Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and labeling medications.
Process and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Maintain and update patient medication records with accuracy.
Manage and restock medication inventory while monitoring expiration dates.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
Operate pharmacy equipment and systems for medication dispensing.
Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
Assist with billing and insurance claim processing as needed.
