JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.SAir Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech IIJT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challengesJOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Under general supervision of a senior-level engineer, a Field Engineer II performs a variety of fundamental field engineering tasks involved in the installation, operations, testing, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systemsEmployee will be responsible for the following functions/duties: --- Conduct research and reference reading to assist higher-level engineers in obtaining technical information --- Keep informed of and study currently approved standards, codes, and procedures applied to engineering specialty --- Perform engineering or other highly technical tasks that are varied and may be somewhat difficult in character --- Plan and carry out successive engineering steps and resolve technical problems by standard practices and techniques, such as tolerance studies and design calculations --- Support projects with limited scope or parts of more complex projects with detailed instructions on the intent and scope of the documents to be prepared --- Generate sections of design specifications of more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex projects --- Using computer-assisted test methods, conduct laboratory investigations on equipment or systems --- Assist in preparation of reports, correspondence, or technical studies --- Prepare, deliver, and submit technical presentations for in-process design and review meetings --- Perform other job-related duties, as requiredDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Sheet Metal and Composite material equipment use, function, and assemble desiredREQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 7 years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field are required for this positionIn addition, a Field Engineer II must possess the following qualifications: --- Professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles and familiarity with related engineering fields --- Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions --- Effective verbal and written communication skills --- Planning/organizational skillsSALARY The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annuallyNote: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will payJT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offerOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their jobWORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazardsOccasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; and constant mental alertness are requiredTravel to remote company work locations may be requiredDISCLAIMER The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by personnel assigned to this classificationThey are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of persons so classifiedTasking is in support of a Federal Government Contract that requires U.ScitizenshipSome jobs may require a candidate to be eligible for a government security clearance, state-issued driver's license, or other licenses/certifications, and the inability to obtain and maintain the required clearance, license, or certification may affect an employee's ability to maintain employmentSCC: JENG17; JCORP12 Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
